LIECESTER CITY 4 - 2 MANCHESTER: CITY SUFFERS HUMILIATING DEFEAT AT LIECESTER
Manchester City were embarrassed by Leicester City on Saturday
evening to the scoreline of 4-2. The score makes the game seem closer than it
really was, in reality City were outclassed by liecester in every facet of the
game.
Leicester, who hadn't won in the league in five games, raced
into a 3-0 lead in just 20 minutes in a first half to forget for Pep
Guardiola's side, as Vardy netted either side of Andy King's effort from the
edge of the area. James Vardy got his hat-trick soon after he latched unto a
bad pass from John Stones.
One would have expected Manchester City to bounce back from a
loss to Chelsea with an easy win over Liecester city who have not recorded a
win in their last five league games. But the reverse was the case, Liecester
city were 3 : 0 up in 20 minutes, I mean can u even imagine but it happened.
Guardiola made four changes from the side that lost 3-1
against Chelsea last week, bringing in Pablo Zabaleta, Bacary Sagna, Fernando
and Kelechi Iheanacho, with Sergio Aguero, Nicolas Otamendi and Fernandinho suspended.
City were cut out early in the game, and found it difficult
to get back into it, they accumulated a lot of possession after the break but they
had no cutting edge, as Zabaleta and De Bruyne missed goal bound chances,
Finally Kolarov freekick from 20 yards out gave the travelling fans something
to smile about before substitute Nolito scored from close range in the 90th
minute.
This results leaves Man City 4 points behind leaders
Arsenal and they could be 7 points behind Chelsea if the win
against WestBrom on Sunday.
